Had Old Merchant Cream Ale at Hopkins brewpub, SLC, twice on draft into tulip pint.
Pours straw gold with 1-finger, creamy near-white head, and good retention, leaving Belgian lace etched down the glass. Aroma off pour of sweet corn, and as warms a little bitter and floral noble hop aroma. On tasting, begins nicely sweet and malty, and gratifyingly creamy, with a nice bit of unflavored hop bitterness, which carries into a very crisp finish.
My first beer from Hopkins, this ale has an ultra creamy head, little fruit, and a nicely crisp finish.
