From the 16 oz can in a snifter via Bluejacket74---Cheers Dude!
This solid little stout pours a dark brownish black with a nice head
of tan foam that settles to a thick ring, thick clumping layer, and shows
some very nice lacing. Nose of coffee, bakers coca, and subtle char
notes. Flavors follow but exceed by a fine presentation of dark cocoa,
dark coffee, and rich roast and mild balanced char with light caramel
malt notes. Nice mouth feel; medium body, light soft carbonation,
moderately coating, and a nice roasted finish.
Overall, a solid straight up stout
Cheers

16 ounce can, no dating that I noticed on there but I'm pretty sure they had released some prior to St. Patrick's Day so I'm guessing this can is about a month or 2 old. Label says 4.6% ABV. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. I like the aroma, the brew smells like roasted malt, coffee and some bittersweet chocolate. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but with a bit of caramel flavor noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's smooth, a bit creamy and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I think it's a good overall brew, I've had it on tap at Outerbelt before but the canned version is good too. Worth picking up if you're into Irish Dry stouts.

I got a can of this beer from the brewery. It poured an opaque dark with fizzy off white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had nice rich roast malt goodness. The taste was nicely balanced and was easy to drink with caramel chocolate and roast malts. The mouthfeel was lighter in body and had good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

L: A very dark stout, jet black, with a very minimal white head.
S: A nice, reserved bitter chocolate mixed with coffee is the first smell to hit the nose, rounded out with a touch of vanilla.
T: Follows the nose pretty well, with the exception that a bitter coffee taste is what first greets your tongue, which mellows out after a couple of seconds to a more sweet, chocolatey taste.
F: On the cusp of the medium-bodied to lighter bodied spectrum. The feel is sort of a silky-smooth, slightly creamy mouthfeel.
Overall: A solid stout with overall easy drinkability, due partly to a lower ABV (4.6%) as well as its lighter body and silky mouthfeel. I personally favor really thick stouts, so for me, this probably wouldn't get a second shot, but it is certainly worth a try! Especially for the pricepoint - 3 bucks for a pint!
