12 FLUID OUNCE can
Served in a can glass
This beer pours dark brown and is topped with a large bubbled head that disappears quickly leaving no trace.
Coffee forward with some roasted malt and hints of chocolate
Black coffee flavor. It coats my tongue and kind of dominates the flavor. Bitter, black coffee abounds
Fairly thin body with a watery mouthfeel
Good is you like black coffee

This wonderful brew has been languishing in my fridge for I'd be embarrassed to admit how long. What I was missing!
This "American Brown Ale" (are you kidding) is quite unique, almost defying style categories - it has such a thick finish. It looks somewhat thick but not to the extent of the delicious nose and wonderful thick brown coffee laced want to brush your teeth so they don't stain too much reality of the experience. This is a very nice ale and I should seek out another can.
Recommended. A wonderful gem that will set well in the fridge!

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This solid little brown ale pours a
dark red tinged brown with a nice head of khaki foam that settles to
a thick ring, thin clumping layer, and sports some nice lacing. Nose of
dark coffee, char, subtle brown sugars, and faint vanilla. Flavors
follow the nose with dark coffee, subtle cocoa, char, brulee, earthy malt
notes, and nutty malt touches. Nice mouth feel; medium body, light
carbonation that is lively and prickly, and finishing on a bitter malt and coffee
note.
Overall, a solid ale from a great little brewery!
Cheers

16 ounce can, canned on 10/15/2020. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown with I think maybe a 1/4 inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are OK. Aroma is nice, the brew smells mostly like coffee, along with some roasted malt and vanilla. I think the taste is similar to the aroma. Coffee stands out, but with some vanilla, bready/roasted malt and nutty flavors also noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's a bit coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, it's a good coffee brown ale. Certainly worth trying if you like brown ales and/or coffee beers! $11.99 a 4-pack.

I tried this at the brewery. It poured a dark mahogany with tan head that left some lace. The scent had faint coffee and sweet malt flare. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet bread base and coffee highlights. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.
