A limited release batch from our barrel-aged program. Unique to each barrel, high gravity, high alcohol and high flavor. Chocolate and vanilla, alongside hazelnut and lactose make this bourbon aged beer so rich and roasty.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter via Bluejacket74---Cheers Brother!
This solid porter pours a dark muddled blackish brown with a
very nice head of tan foam that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer,
and sports some VERY nice lacing. Nose of subtleties; dark cocoa,
bourbon, char, and faint vanilla amongst wafting touches of nuts.
Flavors hit the mark with dark cocoa, hazelnuts, bourbon, mild
oak, vanilla, moderate char, and deep roasted malts. Nice mouth
feel; medium full body, light carbonation, smooth, moderately
coating, rich, and finishing moderately dry and lightly warming.
Overall---a solid brew!
Cheers!

16 ounce can, no dating on it but I picked it up at the brewery release last week on 1/2/21. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with not quite an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells like bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, hazelnut and roasted malt. Taste is similar to the aroma but with a little more kick, and there's also some dark bready and cream flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit slick and has a moderate amount of carbonation. Good amount of barrel here, but it's not overpowering. I liked this brew, thought it was better on tap at the brewery but the cans are still tasty. Certainly worth picking up if you come across some!
