12 ounce can, big thanks to Brutaltruth for this! No dating I noticed on it but pretty sure it's at least a year or so old. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like vanilla, cacao, roasted malt, bourbon and some dark fruit. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some oak, earthiness and burnt/charred malt flavors. A little boozier tasting than I was expecting. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit creamy and slick with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall brew, worth trying if you get the chance!

This just got put on tap at my job, I happen to like this as it's tastes so much like whiskey, the barrel seeped in so deep its sweet and notes of strawberry but it's so boozy on the palate that I can understand why some would turn their nose up at this

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This big and beefy brew pours a dark obsidian with
a nice head of tan foam that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and shows
some nice lacing. Nose of rich bourbon, dark chocolate, subtle char, dark coffee
hints, and light vanilla. Flavors follow nice with dark chocolate, vanilla, rich bourbon,
deep oak, dark berry notes of blackberry and raspberry, subtle tobacco, and moderate
char and roast. Mouthfeel is medium full verging on full, rich, smooth, low carbonation,
and a moderately dry and nicely bitter malt finish that is warming and inviting.

Overall---a solid addition to an excellent brewers repertoire.

Cheers
