My best friend has some friends in California send him a crowler of this that he is kind enough to share with me. Poured into one of my tulip glasses, this beer, although it is technically a New England "hazy" IPA, pours a just slightly cloudy/hazy medium golden color with a nice white head that's about an inch thick when first poured. head eventually settles to a medium sized ring lining the inside of the glass and some good lacing. Aromas of some malts with slight caramel sweetness along with piney, slightly resinous and dank, and earthy hop notes. The flavor profile is very similar, with some malts with a bit of caramel sweetness that gives way to the aforementioned piney, slightly resinous and dank, and earthy hops along with a bit of citrus, melon and cantaloupe. A nice balance of flavors, with the fruity hop notes dominating a bit, especially as the beer sits and warms up a bit. I do quite enjoy the flavor profile here. Has a slightly crisp, mostly smooth and also frothy, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish and nice fruity hop aftertaste. A good beer here.
