A: Pours a hazy medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate burnt orange + bright yellow + honey colored highlights. The beer has a finger tall dense fizzy sudsy foamy bright white head that quickly reduces to a large patch of thin film covering a little more than 95% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of earthy + spicy + grassy + tropical/passionfruit + citrus/grapefruit pith + gooseberry hops over the light to moderate aromas of biscuit + oat + grainy hops with a light amount of grainy sweetness.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of biscuit + oat + grainy hops with a light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of earthy + spicy + grassy + tropical/passionfruit + citrus/grapefruit pith + gooseberry hops which impart a light amount of spicy bitterness which lingers slightly leaving lingering pithy citrus hop flavors.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp upfront with a hint of soft/fluffiness mid-body and a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a decent though not as smooth/fluffy as normal NEIPAs. Very interesting with the use of these South African hops that I have not sampled in combination before (especially without any of the more traditional American hops also being present).
