A strong Belgian "Tripel" type blonde, with a little twist around the addition of rye for a slightly drier side than normal. Notes of spices and pear emerge, with a good length in the mouth and a comforting heat without showing too much alcohol.

Got in a trade with Shanex. 330 ml bottle into stemmed tulip glass. Best before 3/2/2022. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, pear, red apple, peppercorn, clove, and light banana/bubblegum; cracker pilsner malt backbone; herbal, woody, grassy, light piney hops. Light-moderate bitterness and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and body; fairly crisp, lightly creamy and grainy notes; lingering sticky hops with light residual sweetness. Very minimal yeast tang, touch of lingering resin. Mild lingering warmth of 8.1%. This is very spot on for a tripel, which is pretty much my favorite style.
