Quite handsome with a sticky pile of suds on amber brew in the Kölsch glass. Aroma is an odd sort of damp burlap with a whiff of broccoli cooking water. Malty and alcohol tasting, but what is that flavor? Truly weird. Sweet malty pancakes at the diner with a touch of artificial boysenberry syrup, Hawaiian bread, mango nectar, and an unfortunately unwelcome bitter finish. Don't even think about cough syrup.
"Craft Malt Liquor" in the "Big Ass Can." I'm sure this seemed like a good idea at the time, judging from the photos of the boys club at Brewery X. From the 19.2 oz can purchased at Monarch Beach Market, but they'll sell anything. Dated 11/25/20 so close enough to celebrate its birthday.
