a super interesting and well done pale with tricky ingredients, pineapple and habanero. both of them are obvious and true to themselves in this, both are forward, but they also integrate really well, dont make this over flavored, and somehow balance each other in this really unique way. the habanero is the essence of the ripe leathery orange flesh of the pepper, kumquat, meyer lemon, and clean heat, which hits the throat at a moderate level but is new again by each sip, clean enough, low linger. the pineapple is sweet, a little bit acidic, and very natural, it cuts some of the heat but also highlights the flavor of the pepper too, which is just a brilliant combination. the hops work well with both, notes of mango and pine there which create a pretty complex range of flavors and nuances, thankfully the malt is simple and clean and drying, supports everything well but doesnt speak up too loud. this is summery and tropical, and its a very versatile food beer, nice with their vindaloo fries in here, and im sure with their other awesome smelling curries. usually this sort of thing doesnt appeal to me, but this is so authentic and well proportioned, i really was into it. impressive beers across the board here, check them out if you havent yet!
