Chattabrewchee Southern Brewhouse

I wish I could give this place 4.5 stars - it is well deserved...

Located in downtown Columbus, GA, situated in what appears was once a warehouse, Chattabrewchee (I love the name) is open and welcoming. They have what appears to me a homegrown fence, heftily made out of 4x4s that cordon off the entrance from the parking lot.

On this particular night, we were warmly welcomed by the barkeep, who was so very friendly and patient with us, as we had plenty of questions before we made both of our choices.

The brews we had this evening varied from their Gose, to a porter, a stout, and a Belgian white - all were very good.

Prices are reasonable, and i found their use of the possum as their mascot - brilliant. Ample indoor and outdoor seating, balance the little amount of bar space they have to belly up on. I can only imagine how busy this is during the warmer months and with my son now stationed nearby at the army base, I hope to find out...

Stop by for the first time last week it happened to be on Wednesday if you’ve ever been here before you know it’s yoga night. Set outside with some guys enjoyed a couple of cigars and had some really good beers. All-around good place veteran owned and operated.
