Appearance: Pours a clear amber color with a two finger head; good retention and lacing action

Smell: Biscuity malt aromatics with earthy hops; hint of marmalade

Taste: Biscuity flavors forward with a fruity aspect; through the middle, earthy hop tones arrive, accented by a hint of marmalade

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Low aroma, marmalade and biscuit.

Overall: A good old school English IPA

The Isle of Skye in general might be as close to heaven on earth as is possible...and you feel like you are a thousand miles from anywhere. So when you find a beer in the middle of nowhere you are content.

With that being said this beer isn't complex. Tastes more like a ale from a brewery just finding it's feet than a beer that has been around for 20 years. That being said I am a spoiled American beer snob- and Europe has the vast majority of things over us...for the most part we kick their ass in great beers.

This beer is simple. Cool labels but lacking in punch or pizzazz.
