Second Isle of Skye half pint I had at 'spoons Counting House in Glasgow and I much preferred this one to the Red Cuillin. It was a dark straw to light gold colour with a decent head. A grassy lemon nose suggested a fairly hoppy beer was on the way.
It turned out to be a well balanced brew with a slightly buttery flavour I've found in some blondes, but also slightly biscuity and and backed with slightly minty herbal hops for a delightful hoppy finish. This would make a good session beer, although I'm more a mix and match man.

On cask at Torridon Inn, from notes.
A - a light blonde gold, whispy film, lacing is pretty good. 3.5
S - lemon, apples, grains, light florals, hops are there and perceived but not overly assertive. 3.5
T - slight sweetness, lemon and citrus, some nice mineral notes, light and tasty, straightforward. 3.75
M -a light thin crisp bitterness, some light smooth carbonation, good session ale, really light. 3.75
O - a citrusy floral session ale, well balanced and refreshing but lacking depth. Still a very quenching beer. 3.5
