At 6% this beer is dark with a smooth roasty flavour provided by Canadian malted barley, chocolate malt and roasted barley. Lactose is added for a smoother, sweeter tasting experience. A small addition of hops adds bitterness to balance the sweetness while the roasty character lasts throughout the tasting experience.

Dark black with a fast-disappearing tan head. Pleasant sweet roasty malt nose. Full roasted malt body with medium coffee notes, not too strong. Good crispness, a pleasant stout.
