Copenhagen 23/1 2023. 50 cl heavy glass bottle from Craft Makers Collective web-shop. Orange label which looks a bit like an illustration from a Biology book focused on malevolent cells.
Pours opaque, murky maroon with a small white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin rim of bubbles running along the side of the glass.
Aroma is medium intense with a strong sweet - almost sugary - scent of malts and alcohol. Toffee, brown sugar with a touch of syrup. Sweet whisky liqueur. Like Southern Comfort.
Low carbonation. Thick, oily, a bit greasy, soft, flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a heavy sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet bordering on the sugary. Lingering. Finish is intensely sugary with a boozy burn.
A very sweet and potent beer named after a huge, potent but not very sweet Wolf.
