Copenhagen 30/8 2022. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. White can in SlowBurn’s usual design with a Platypus as motif.
Pours opaque dark brown with a huge off-white head. Stable. Settles as a 5 cm thick crown of foam covering the surface of the beer. Massive lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet roasted and malty odor mingling with a subtle citric scent. Dark roasted malts, toffee and a bit of chocolate. Lemon and citrus.
Low carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a bit. Finish is rather dry.
Decent, solid Black Indian Pale Ale.
