Metamorphosis is an oatmeal stout which we infuse with freshly roasted coffee beans that we source from a different local roastery for every batch. It has a rich aroma of roasted malts, cacao, and coffee, with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel and balanced bitterness.

Batch packaged 11/03/24 is brewed with coffee beans from "Kaffe & Grums"

Copenhagen 1/5 2020. 44 cl can from Beerlivery web-shop. Drawing of a very blue buttery on the can.

Pours opaque, dark brown with a small light beige head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with some sweet, sugary odor soon overpowered by coffee bitter smell. Light roast, dark chocolate and coffee.

Light carbonation. Medium thick, smooth soft, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while.

Well balanced, coffee rich take on an oatmeal stout. I am not sure I get the tranformation/metamorphosis theme. Why change into something else when you taste perfectly fine?
