Blitzen is the holiday IPA of 2020. Every year close to Christmas we release a one-off IPA named after one of Santa's reindeer. We prefer to drink hoppy beers with the heavy dishes of winter time, and this beer is the perfect pairing for pork roast and caramelised potatoes; Moderately bitter with a nice thick and round mouthfeel from oats and wheat malt. It is generously dry-hopped with both Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe, Galaxy, Mosaic & Halletauer Blanc! It has a dank aroma with notes of pine, melon and passionfruit.

Copenhagen 20/11 2020. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Slowburn's usual design this time with a watercolor painting of a Stag on the can.
Pours hazy, opaque, pale yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet fruity odor mingling with sharp, citric fumes. Peach and pineapple. Citrus, grape fruit and lime. Pine.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth yet lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a bit sharp. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Civilized NEIPA with a nice bitter streak.
