On tap at the brewery, and then from an undated 16oz can purchased at the brewery 04/30/21. Served in a spiegelau IPA glass.
Pours a cloudy lemony-gold with a scant finger of soapy suds. Retention is unremarkable, leaving a wispy cap and collar and a solid but thin curtain of lacing.
Aroma is fruity and dank, mostly pineapple and weed.
Taste is broadly in line with the nose, being fruity and dank. By turns, mashed strawberry, grapefruit juice, melon rind, then mashed strawberry again and so on. Not so much muddled as schizophrenic. Low bitterness, massively dank, finishes with a slight kerosene aftertaste.
Feel is more-or-less juicy, medium bodied with fine, adequate carbonation. There’s a certain minor greasy sensation at the finish which I’m associating with the kerosene aftertaste.
Overall, a decent, fairly tasty single-hop NEIPA marred to a small degree by what I perceived as soapiness in the draft pour and a greasy, mildly kerosene-like aftertaste from the can pour.
