From a 16oz can, undated. Purchased at the brewery 08/29/21. Served in a cervoise.
Pours pale hazy orange with a scant half-finger of fizzy suds. Retention is virtually nil and leaves no lacing to speak of.
Mildly sweet, fruity nose; straight-up strawberry jam. Smells nice. Not like beer, mind you, but nice.
Taste is unexpectedly harsh. The only strawberry detected on the palate may be the coarse woody hulls. Grassy, woody, tastes like a paper plate, leaves a bit of a metallic taste in the back of my throat. There’s something oxidized going on here, I think.
Feel is thin and watery with fizzy carbonation.
Overall, I wouldn’t expect to ever revisit this one voluntarily. Mammosilenus, who actually likes things like this, says “eh, it’s alright,” so there’s that anyway.
