A bitter pale ale harkening back to the earlier days of American Craft Brewing. Pine and citrus hop notes dominate the aroma with a solid malt backbone consisting of an all-English base to keep the hops in check. A clean, dry finish rounds out this classic, highly drinkable pale ale.

On tap at Birreria Volo in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
This one pours a lightly hazed but mostly clear orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like melon, lemon and lime zest, grapefruit, a light touch of caramel, and pine.
This is a really nice take on a classic American Pale ale, in the Sierra Nevada vein. There’s a wonderfully sticky and resinous hop character – grapefruit and lemon, a little bit of citrus, and pine. There’s just the lightest hint of malt character – it doesn’t overwhelm, just provides a nice base for the hop character.
This is lighter bodied, and super drinkable.
Volo quietly makes some of the best beers in Canada, and it’s just a small little brewery attached a group of bars in Toronto.
