Sigh. Another one that isn't retired or discontinued. It's alive!
Served cold from 500ml bottle into straight pilsner mug.
L) Lovely mid to light golden colour, clear, loads of bubbles. Starts with a fluffy head, slims down to a thinnish bubbly head.
S) Hmm., not that good compared to most helles lagers. Both malt and hop odours very muted. Hint of hydrogen sulphide.
T) Bit of a meaty taste. Not clean and crisp as a German lager should be. Slight hint of bitterness.
F) Nicely refreshing with a good fizz. Just the slight meatiness in the aftertaste that detracts in this department.
O) Can't recommend this one, there is a funny off taste. It's not disgusting, there are just dozens and dozens of better German lagers you can buy.
