A red-hued beer that combines some of our IPA's hoppiness with the strong malt backbone of Alewife Ale.

Off the tap this beer was a hazy copper color with an oatmeal-colored, one-finger head. The retention was good and the lacing decent. The aroma was of toasted malt and lightly citric hops. The flavors were also of toasted malt with hints of almonds and wood balanced by a proper hoppiness. The malt was also slightly musty and the hops added some tartness in a citrus way. The mouthfeel was average, the carbonation good and the body medium/light. Sessionable and solid, probably the best of theirs I tasted thus far.
