A German-style Alt Ale with a light copper color. This full-bodied, slightly sweet beer owes its crisp clean finish to its lower fermentation temperature and its extended conditioning time.

On tap at the Liberal Cup in one of the 20 oz. logo glasses.

A: Dark brown with ruby highlights. One finger of leather-colored head. Good lacing.

S: It smells of dark fruits and sweet malts. Faint hops and alcohol spice.

T: It opens with dark stone fruits, brown sugar, and sweet malts. Mild use of some bittering hops is present on the finish.

M: Slick, creamy mouthfeel with mild carbonation. It works very well for this style.

D: Quite drinkable.

The mild carbonation, fruit taste, and lack of bitterness make for a good example of (and introduction to) the style.
