Inspired by a Mexican wedding cake, this imperial stout leads with bourbon and chocolate notes, only to end with a peppery finish.
Bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout aged with ancho pepper, guajillo pepper, Mexican vanilla, and cocoa nibs.

16oz can, purchased at the tap room. No dating information found.
Black colored body, with a brief dark tan head. Left behind are dots and spots of lacing.
Aroma is bourbon soaked chocolate, and sweet vanilla.
Taste is somewhat harsh, with strong bourbon notes that hit the back of the throat and chocolate that is bitter and chalky, and sweet vanilla infused chocolate. Slight pepper presence near the end of the profile, with very slight lingering heat.
Medium mouth feel, with slight creaminess. Okay carbonation.
Alright, with all the flavors there, but somewhat "hot", with extra bitterness.
