Draft at the brewery, served in a taster glass.
Dark leather brown, thin cap of foam that stayed for the duration, some spotty lacing around the edges.
Aroma was smoky and briny, big Ardbeg peat character from the barrel. Big chewy malt, leather and cigar tobacco.
Islay scotch, big, boozy, and smoky. Full bodied and rich. This is a delicious, complex beast.
