Poured from a 12 oz can into a pint glass; born in Dec 2022. Pours deep red amber with plenty of frothy lasting head. Bitter hops up front that relaxes into mild sweetness. A bit dated but will definitely try again.

16 oz can poured into a willi becher glass. This is a hoppy red ale, with moderate bitterness offset by caramel malt notes. Bready notes play nicely with pine/citrus rind hoppiness. Borders on red IPA territory. Solid.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a pretty amber color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of caramel malts. Taste is pine, caramel malts, spicy hops. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a refreshing and pretty good beer.

Clear reddish amber appearance with a small off white head and nice lacing. Low key aroma of caramel malts and floral hops. Taste is a little more focused on the hops as spicy and floral vie for attention. Finishes like a typical amber ale. Balanced, medium bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel.

We bought a growler of this last time in Silver Spring. This is really the only beer that is decent at this brewery, although an ale called something like train stopping was okay. But generally we do not think this is a great brewery periods

Poured from a tap growler into a nonic pint glass, within 2 hours.
Very clear dark copper brown with a bit of red body color. A nice two finger head with a real nearly nitrous bubbled appearance and thin creamed top. Settles to a full one finger topped puck like a piece of icing. Real nice looking amber.
Very nice toasty aromas and faint hints of brown sugar. Sweetness nicely accented by a cinnamon like smelling caramel quality of malts. Almost has a french toast like angle to the beer. Very impressive.
Palate gets a little more grounded. Solid malt backbone almost giving to a creamy thickness but considerably in lighter ale territory. Muted caramel and a hop forward astringent pine quality in the mid palate. Hints of spicy mint herbality on the finish, and actually quite hop forward in a more simple astringent way. A few touches of biscuity malt and caramel and a bit of cinnamon heat being accentuated by some hop power.
Very nice beer actually, but the hop angle is almost a bit larger and not that aromatic in flavor. A good amber ale, but I'd want a little touch more of malt sweetness to this which would make this very nice.

Clearish copper, soapy white head. Smell is pine, caramel, bread. Taste: sourdough, pine, grapefruit note, toffee back. I heard lots of positive comments about this one, but it was unimaginative, one of those reds that propagate the stereotype that reds are boring.
