I'm leaving this review as this is an Imperial Stout that I want to remember.
Look - Imperial stouts are always at an advantage here. I love dark beers and this one hits all the visual cues. Lovely, dark, brown and deep. The copper-hues head is the cherry on top. You see it and you want to drink it. End of story.
Smell - Not the most distinctive part of this beer. However, despite its 9% ABC, you don't get any of it in the smell. Nothing overpowering, slightly sweet and true to its taste.
Taste - Yes. This is a strong beer that has managed to cloak it's alcoholic content in sweet tones. There's a quickness to this beer where you take a sip and the flavors rush into you. It's not bitter, but full and sweet. It begs to be drank slowly, but can defintely be swallowed whole. The flavors are intense yet brief - leaving you wanting another drink immediately but not overpowering your palette. It's like seeing a beautiful painting, only to have it vanish before your eyes. I love it.
Feel - Full, but could be fuller. Still great.
