5 oz pour on tap. Pours a near pitch black with a tan head. Aroma and flavor feature dark roasted malts with hints of smoke, vanilla, and oak. Complex and flavorful with no hint of the 7.2% abv. Mouthfeel is full and creamy with moderate carbonation. An awesome "regular" porter. More, please!

Pretty sure this isn't my first English porter, but...
Draught pint at the Brass Tap here in Baltimore. Nice color, but I've seen better head. Roasted malt aroma. Expected taste & feel . A solid choice, I'll be returning to in the future.

Poured from the growler into a nonic pint glass. Columbus and Casacade hops into a listed English Porter.. Hmmm..
Aggressive pour manages a one and a half finger head, quite light in color for a porter faint tan, nearly white but with a good amount of staying power. Body color is a simple walnut brown, faint touch of clarity, no hues at all either. Pretty solid.
Aroma gives a good sense of toast and faint whispy chocolate tones on the nose. Faint cream, but goes for lighter and muted roast character. Fairly straightforward with no surprises.
Solid palate on first sip. Hits with a bit of prickly carbonation, but gets into some classic malt richness. Bit of hop and pine and earth sting on the finish, with some thick rich hop warmth and chocolate bitterness. Mellow light chocolate tones, just getting a touch of char which gets into a bit of coffee roast and accentuating some of the interesting hop astringency.
Comes off like a bit of a mix of simple English and American styles, and a solid porter drinkable brew.
