On draft, in shaker pint glass
Black in color, with cream colored head. Aroma of cocoa and mild coffee. Similar taste, a little sweet. Medium to fuller bodied, smooth feel.

Mahogany appearance with an average size tan head and little to no lacing. Roasted malts are the aromatic gateway and provide a base for a few whiffs of coffee. Dry, earthy taste with only modest support from the hops. Softly carbonated, medium bodied mouthfeel that was lighter than anticipated. Overall, not bad but a step or two away from being memorable.

Poured from the can into a nonic(k) pint glass.
Big rich and lush forming three to four finger tall head, tan in color, almost khaki yellow a little bit. Deep reddish brown with some slight clarity, and a good amount of faint carbonation. Really big and aggressive looking stout.
Light touches of coffee on the nose. Slightly grainy and flour like sensing, with a delicious nutty quality. Comes off almost mineral sensing a bit, maybe even hinting a bit of wet and light like body to come. Mild sense of milk chocolate. Fairly solid aroma.
Palate sticks to basics and gets the job done. Simple malt backbone but delivers a good package. Light touching milk chocolate, surprisingly sweeter and not dark like I would expected, with a very good roast angle that hits towards simple brewed coffee. The lighter texture brings a hint of vanilla and milk like sweetness just ever so slightly too. Finishes with a light astringency, just to make things more interesting also.
Pretty solid basic stout in a good package.

5 oz pour on tap. Pours dark brown. Aroma and taste feature dark malts, bitter coffee, and a hint of chocolate. Mouthfeel is a little bit watery, kind of like Guinness. A decent low-abv oatmeal stout but underwhelming.
