Poured from the can into a Libbey style pilsner glass.
Big foaming khaki head, with a real nice copper to bronze red colored clear body color. Head is a bit soapy and light, but does manage to stick around for awhile.
Very clean and dry nose. Big sense of mineral notes, and herbal hop that is a bit young and bright. Hits a little bit of clove spice as well and just a faint touch of sweetness.
Aggressive palate. Tea like and sharp bitterness in the mid, with strong black tea, and almost a bit of a jolt. Light sensing malt with a faint caramel, and large amounts of continuing mineral dryness. Finishes surprisingly bitter, but with a very aggressive punching herbality and minimal malt balance. Clean at least, with just a faint touch of caramel.
Pretty bold, but wish there was some malt push here to balance things out a bit.
