Can roughly 3 weeks old. (3/31)
Purchased at Slice. Courtesy of Preston.
Recently placed 2nd at the legendary bistro IPA fest. (Which I sadly did not attend this year)
Appearance: Gold and crystal clear. Average white head with some lacing.
Smell: Definitely dankness of Nelson and distinct simcoe. Citrus. Catty. Blueberry. A lot of PtE vibes on the nose.
Taste: Same as smell. Blueberry (which I’m assuming is somewhat from mosaic) is very present. Reminds me of a lot of North Park and Slice IPA’s in that regard. Tastes like they actually squeezed the straight nectar out of hops. Minimal maltiness. Presents as light honey. Bitterness on end of tongue. Hop citrus lingers in mouth, w/dry finish.
Mouthfeel: Perfect to style.
Overall: Really really good. At 7.1% almost pushing up against DIPA territory. Extra abv wouldn’t add anything IMO though.
If you like Slice, Ghost Town, North Park or Pliny you’ll dig this.
