This is a collaboration between Slice and Ghost Town, two juggernauts in the hop world. I don't know if the Ghost Town listing has a beer review, I think they were all ratings, 3 there, 1 here, decided to provide (motions with hands) "equity". This was the people's choice winner at the dipa festival (23rd annual) last Saturday. Was hoping for better weather, you know once they said the forecast was "perfect" that shit was gonna go down. But yeah, your forecast models over the next 75 years are totally accurate.
Anyhoo, pours a light amber color, darker than average for the day. 1/3" off white scaled head. Lots of hops here. Too many different ones make it difficult to get the kind of unique attributes, so you just end up with a hop salad (also the name of several beers) of every hop descriptor known to man overlapping. But its nice. I guess its only 3 kinds, but when you're dealing with something as new as HBC 586, I'm still trying to grasp what that one is all about without a bunch of Mosaic and Strata competing for foothold.
The taste bangs much the way the nose does, lots of tropical fruit, berries and stone fruit. Crisp mouthfeel, easy to drink dry and light body. Hides alcohol very well. Easy to see why this was the people's choice, its pretty good. That artwork is cool, I need to get cans of this one of these days.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
