Poured into a Raiders pint glass. Good clarity, light straw yellow color and appearance. 1/2" white head on the top. I dig the can artwork, neat little mischievous devil riding that trident like its a witch on a broom.
The aroma is quite grainy with a good sized hit of that lager yeast. Traditional hopping despite three different varieties, seemingly in conformity with traditional rates, so don't worry if you think this will be a dipa Slice hop rate.
The taste is comforting, its everything the style should have, the light soft hopping giving a light peppering effect. The heavy grain breadiness that still stays with levity in the mouthfeel. I wouldn't call it sweet by any means, but there is just a hint, like a drop of it to push the notion. Rather than a crisp dry mouthfeel edge like a pilsner, it drops that helles effect of a soft pillowy landing to what was already a smooth ride.
Don't call it a comeback, Slice's lager game has been here for years.

Sweet cereal-grainy, honey-biscuity, and a floral lemon citrus nose on this one! Taste follows with a sweet honey-bread and a subtle lemon citrus hoppy swallow. This is very clean, but this leans more towards a softer finish than a crisp one. Good!
