Pours a very lively dark amber with very active, fizzling head. Got two overflows even though I was pretty careful.
Smell is tart and peppery with notes of grapes, red wine and cranberries and a hint of oak.
Taste is fruity, rich and a bit tart. Notes of grapes, oak and berries, with a earthy, wooden bitterness with hints of char and yeast. Hints of burnt rubber on the finish.
Mouthfeel is medium, with sparkling carbonation.
Overall, a bit of a weird one, with the bitterness and rubber taking away quite a bit.
