A: hazy lemon yellow with a pillowy three-finger head, medium head retention, mild lacing
S: citrus, herbs, grapefruit, fleeting notes of grain
T: the prominent bitterness in the finish rushes to the fore, crowding out the other flavors, there is citrus here also and again fleeting hits of cracker-like grain
M: medium bodied, very dry.
O: This beer, to me lacks the characteristic balance that I expect in all Halfway Crooks beers. By the standards of many beers, this isn’t all that bitter, but by their standards this has quite the bite, it swallows up whatever else there is to enjoy about this beer leaving you with what I would say is a fairly mediocre experience.

Traditional Belgian-style pale ale. Poured with nice head that eventually dissipated. Easy drinking. Nice estery/yeasty Belgian nose and taste. Good session beer.

This is a solid beer, but it seems to lack something. It's good, but doesn't cross the goal line--like settling for a field goal, reminding me of college and watching my team coached by Vince Dooley.
It smells good, tastes good, and looks good.

Very well balanced with a goodly amount of esters and not much hop bitterness at all. Fits the profile of a Belgian pale with the right amount of character
