Ada Lovelace is regarded as the first to recognize the full potential of computers and thereby one of the first computer programmers. We pay homage to her 'poetical science' with this discerning pilsner. The true intuition and image: beautifully herbaceous hops we source from the Hallertau region of Bavaria; an imaginative carbonation and a pragmatic finish.

Picked up a 16 oz single from the Hop Spot gas station cooler on NC 191 4-12-25 for 5.29. No canning date; consumed 5-15-25. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured a chilled gold with a beautiful white head that has some great hang time.
Nose is very nice as i am getting a nice white bread and black earthy pepper.
Taste is spot on as the white cracker and bread malt base form a nice backbone which is balanced with a nice spicy black pepper. Finishes with a style appropriate bitterness; 6/10 on my scale.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and both soft and refreshing.
Overall, a delightful brew that is hitting the spot after working outside for a good chunk of the day!

Appearance: Slightly cloudy, pale gold. Frothy white head with good retention.
Aroma: Herbal and grassy hops, grainy malt
Flavor: Herbal and spicy hops on the front end. Slight lemon/citrus note in the middle. Grainy/bready malt on the back. Moderate bitterness throughout
Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied. Drying. Moderate carbonation. Short, clean finish with trailing bitterness.
Overall: Delivers on fine German pils experience. Hops notes on the front end with malty notes on the back with a moderate bitterness throughout and past the finish. Finish is crisp and dry. Refreshing. Well crafted beer from a first class brewery in Atlanta.

A: pours up a clear, straw gold with a sudsy three finger white head
S: immediate herbal spice notes and some minimal biscuity tones coming from under them, but the herbaceous notes really rule the day here. Some slight corn like aromas come through as well.
T: Spice and bread and lemon, right away, pure and simple. A clean herbal bitterness in the finish.
M: just barely medium body, dry but not aggressively so.
O: what can I say other than that Halfway Crooks have mastered the art of the lager. This is a beer that is only trying to do what it does: be a great lager, and it succeeds. I’ve never loved a non-bohemian style from HCBC but when it comes to lager I think they might be the best in the states that I have had. Another stellar entry.
