Deset means "10." This is a draft only 10˚P pale Czech-style Lager brewed for Czech Beer Days. At 3.9% this one is made for all day under the elms. We love light and refreshing biers. Deset has an excellent malt presence from floor malted Bohemian pilsner, the finest Czech Saaz, and a malt forward Czech yeast expression.

Had on lukr. Cloudy pale yellow body with three fingers of white head and thick lacing. Aromas of grains, grassy hops, lemon zest, cracker, and a hint of black pepper in the yeast. Taste is much the same, pale hops in the yeast is really well done, no blackpepper but the malt has a whisper of honey. Feel is light and airy as it should be, with plenty of graininess and hops to keep the palate occupied. They do czech lagers so well y'all!

L-Pours a strong two headed white and foamy topped beer. The body is lightly hazy and straw colored body with powerful carbonation.
S-Grain forward with a slight spicy characteristic that follows. I'm getting notes of lemon and floral essence, too. Cracker and biscuit. Some fresh cut grass. Malty sweetness throughout.
T- Grainy and spicy, almost peppered flavor. Earthy and grassy notes, followed by some lemongrass. Maybe some nutmeg at the end. Nice bitter finish.
F-Crisp, decently effervescent.
O-I finally got my damn hands on some Halfway Crooks and it did not disappoint. An American brewery that almost specifically brews European lagers and adjacent beers is something that is hard to find, and right up my ally. I had high expectations, and it met most of them. A well crafted, sessionable beer that respects it's roots.

Appearance: Slightly hazy, pale gold. Fluffy white head with great retention. Slow rising bubbles
Aroma: Crackery and grainy malt. Light earthy, spicy hops. Hint of lemon. Very faint fruitiness, barely perceptible.
Flavor & Aftertaste: Grainy malt, earthy, spicy hops. Hint of lemon. Moderate bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied. Drying through the finish. Low carbonation. Medium length finish.
Overall: Nice Czech pale lager. Has a moderate bitterness that builds a bit as you drink but never gets harsh. There is a very faint fruity note that you don't notice right away. Quite a hoppy character. Refreshing, well crafted.
