Picked up a 16oz can from the Hot Spot cooler on NC-191 12-5-25 for $5.39. No canning date but it appears to be late September per Untappd entries; consumed 1-24-26. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured chilled clear gold with a smaller white head that has some hang time.
Nose has notes of biscuit and herbal hops. It is opening up as it warms.
Taste is a biscuity malt base that lends some honey sweetness. Hopping is herbal, gives me black pepper, enough to balance the malt base and leave a trace of bitterness.
Mouthfeel is small to medium bodied. Each sip is very soft and smooth.
Overall, this is totally a crushable beer that one should really sip and savor to appreciate the brewing job by the HCB team!
