Brown hue with persistent short cap of off-white head with plenty of lacing down the glass.
Aroma subtle, slightly woody-nutty with more malt than herbal hop presence.
Flavor is solid with a nice balance of dark bread crust maltiness with plenty of melanoidins without being overbearing and a light herbal hop note in the finish with light bitterness.
Mouthfeel is light without being slight with light body, moderate carbonation, and lightly dry finish.
Solid altbier- HC knows what they are doing with this style.

Appearance - The beer leaned more black than brown with an Inch of white head.
Smell - The earthy notes of a brown ale were apparent. The profile was dry.
Taste - The profile was light yet nutty. It had an earthy presence and a light under current of sweetness and perhaps a bit of fruitiness. The finish was dry.
Mouthfeel - The carbonation was fairly aggressive with a light body.
Mouthfeel - The beer was a light bodied easy drinker.
