Re-reviewing. It seems to officially be a Czech style pils, brewed in Poland. More expensive than commercial Polish pilsners such as Lomza, Namylow, Tyskie and Perla.
Looks great, smooth creamy head with small bubbles. Though I'm not a huge fan of the aroma. Kind of pruney without much hoppy refreshment.
Taste is also kind of pruney and datey, with a light malt feel, and fairly unique hops. There are some slightly sour yeastie flavours happening also. It definitely does not taste anything like a typical Czech pilsner, either a commercial or less commercial one. In addition to prunes and dates, I'm detecting sour peach, sour melon and tangerine peel. Yet the taste is still smooth, despite the bitterness. Fruitiness dominates more than the malt. In other words, the hops dominate the flavour and it remains light. But the resulting flavour, a strong datey, pruney, orange peel kind of taste, isn't something I particularly like.
