Pours a dark foamy smaller head with good retention, a bit of lacing, jet black color
Nose is basically candy and coffee, fresh roasted coffee, candy syrup, marshmallow, lots of peanutbutter, no stout
Taste brings tons of peanutbutter and chocolate, fudgey, general nutty, some roasted coffee, candy and maple syrup like... And again no stout, character
Mouth is med to fuller bod and a bit syrupy, med carb
Overall sad sad beverage as this is not anywhere close to a beer, it's like yoohoo and coffee powder mixed, so fake

Black body with brown speckling, thin tan head. Given the description I was expecting sweet in smell and taste. It's there with vanilla/marshmallow finishing faintly, some coconut accents, but it is mostly bitter and roasted with coffee, dark bitter chocolate and huge roasted malt with almost a scorched earth finish, verging on ashtray. Worse in the nose as it is more potent and stale. A cardinal sin in brewing stouts! Feels somewhat broken frothy and thin beyond harsh roasted nature. Swing and a miss

Pours jet black. Forms a small black head. No lacing. 3.5
Smells like an ashtray, old coffee, and cream. Not a good start. 2
Taste is somewhat better - espresso/lactose. Burnt coffee and tobacco. 3.5
Feel is waxy and chalky - low carbonation. 3.
Overall- I’m sure there’s a market for burnt coffee tasting beer, but not for me. Unfortunately this was my 2nd beer on a start to non-sequitur, and I can't say I'll be recommending them until I try others. Which is rather unfortunate (and pricey).
