Best head and carbonation I've seen in a while. Perfect. It smells of candy because of the malt backbone. Interesting taste. Not on par with other saisons I've had, but good.

Picked up a mixed 12 pack at the local Foodland for $15.99 for the stay here at Kahana Beach in Lahaina, Maui. Looks like it was bottled on 02-07-18.
Beer poured orange with a nice white head with the intial pour.
Nose is an ever so slight hint of barnyard with a light hint of mango.
Taste is mango-pepper forward over a pilsner malt base. Noble hops lends a spicy finish.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied suggesting a dual use of saison and ale yeast. No lightness there that i would expect from the style.
Overall, this beer does not meet the style guide exactly but is a nice refreshing beer to enjoy in Maui.

Clear copper colored ale with a small white colored head.
Smells of coriander and mango. Mild honey sweetness. Smells slightly woody.
Starts out sweet with a taste of copper. Mango is moderate as a flavor component. Mild taste of coriander. Definitely on the sweet side for a Saison.
Mouthfeel is OK.
Overall a disappointment. Kona does make better beer than this.
