Lanai Series beer. "Stout brewed with vanilla beans and natural flavor added" Bomber Bottled October 10, 2017.
Light proof black colored beer with a small brown colored head.
Smell is Vanilla, caramel, chocolate and coffee in that order. With all that is going on the vanilla manages to poke its head through. Moderately aromatic. There is also a creme brulee scent.
Starts out thick and savory with a strong vanilla flavor. Bit of an alcohol sting on the tongue. Taste of coffee and some bitter char but vanilla rise it above it all. But it is just a good serviceable stout with a lot of vanilla to it.
Mouthfeel is slick and thick on the tongue like motor oil.
Overall, really good for the price. But you had better like vanilla because this one has it in spades and aces.
