Yuzu Citrus IPA

Pours a murky orange with a thin white finger head. Nose is mostly orange, lemon, citrus pulp. Taste follows the nose but mostly pulpy citrus followed by a bitter rind. Body is light to medium with similar carbonation. Ends dry with a lingering citrus rind. Overall it’s very one note, and somewhat fatiguing.

 

Poured from bottle into tulip glass. Hazy straw in color with thick cream head. Juicy citrus notes on the nose (reminded me of orange juice) , taste followed. Juicy feel, like drinking a mamosa though with the refreshing hoppiness of an IPA.

A- Hazy, two finger head, golden coppery color.
S- citrus notes, lemon, bright aroma
T-Grapefruit, grapefruit, grapefruit. Tangerine, orange. Label states “natural flavor added” which recently has been an indicator with various breweries that you’re in for something awful, but that’s not the case here. It’s good, the citrus flavor is done tastefully and doesn’t take away from the feeling you’re drinking a beer instead of fruit juice.

F- full, pleasant

O- It’s good. Bright and floral and captures a bit of the island motif they have built their identify around

12oz bottle from the mix pack; bright glowing orange color with some moderate haze. Big fruity vibes, citrusy, pink grapefruit, guava, passionfruit and orange...floral...decent piney bitterness. Smooth. No bad.
