Poured from a pint can into a Nonic pint glass.
Pours just lighter than amber and hazy. A nice off-white head lingers and gives way to fine lacing. Like a wheat beer, but moderately darker, as expected and warranted.
Spicy rye notes immediately present on the nose, along with the hallmark soapy, subdued bitterness of an APA. Restrained but pleasant.
Modestly sweet malt on the tip of the tongue gives way to tart and spicy wheat and rye notes in midstream. Grassy and earthy notes at the finish. Very flavorful.
The brew is medium bodied, well-carbonated, and finishes well.
Overall, a well-done rye-forward APA.
