Pours very dark brown and nearly opaque, but not quite so. Limited head but a nice web of lacing.
Billed as having peanut butter, chocolate, and coconut, this one delivers in the "smells" department. The malty sweetness is balanced by a little earth and grass. The nutty aromas, in particular, are really nice.
The flavors follow the nose, but are pretty sweet. Chocolate and coconut forward. Nuttiness and grassy hops in midstream, along with some toasted grain. The end delivers a bit of earth and booze.
A bit sticky/clingy on the tongue. Still, the mild booze and some decent carbonation help it avoid cloying territory.
Another solid brew from Look's. As I've tried these folks' beers, they skew a bit sweet for the style at times, particularly with anything of a darker fare. Like others, this one could use a bit more toast and a bit less sugar.
