Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 3/28/24.
Appearance: medium-light golden hue with a light dash of haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: lightly sweet malt with a little bit of hop character, but not much. It's a little yeasty, and while it doesn't quite have the "edge" of a steam beer, it is quite smooth and pleasant.
Taste: like the aroma, it's light and smooth, though it has just a little tiny bit more edge. It's not just plain and smooth like a blonde; it has some real, though subtle, character to it. Almost light a light saison even!
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: an interesting, enjoyable, and refreshing beer.

Clear rich golden amber color with adequate foam in the Stella Artois goblet. Aromatic with citrus, grain, and flowery hops. Not as smoothly carbonated as you might want, but a light mouthfeel and certainly not flabby. Only slightly sweet, rather tangy, with flavors of grain and greenery. There is a lemony tang in the finish that is quite pleasing and lifts it above the Blonde Ale swamp. It's more of a Hoppy Lager. This is also much better than I remember Anchor Steam being. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station.
