Clear dark brown, not as black as some of this style with abundant dark beige foam in the Blanche de Chambly goblet. Aroma of roasted grain. Spritzy and light on the tongue. Tastes of dark roasted malt with a hint of sweetness. Some burnt sugar but not too sweet, and a grainy finish. Surprisingly bitter aftertaste. This is a better than average Schwarzbier and quite quaffable. From the 16 oz can purchased at Skagit Valley Co-op market. Not dated.
