A restaurant that wants to be a brew pub…unfortunately, the beers we sampled were watery meh. We didn’t eat, but that was the vibe. On the upside, the location is in a mall area with lots of parking, lots of indoor dining, a big bar with lots of seating and plenty of outside seating. We went on a weekday afternoon and the cavernous space was empty. I have no plans to return.

this place is really impressive brand new spot, massive really, on the west end of town, adjacent to a coffee roaster that they actually half share a space with, a trampoline park or something, and a solid distillery as well, worth coming down to hit all four of those things probably! its modern and open, spacious, full of natural light, concrete and almost a shipping container vibe, but somehow classy, neat touches without it being overly done up, almost too new, but very instagram worthy and quite a contrast to a lot of the other more working class feeling and last generation breweries in town. they have a huge open window to the brew house, with foeders and barrels around, piquing my interest for sure, but none of this beer is available yet. they apparently have some connection to uberbrew in town, but im not sure what it is. the beer list is as impressive as the building, it was decent before i even saw the back side of the menu! a serious range of stuff, a sour, some hoppy ones, a lager or two, saison, german inspired stuff, darn diverse! i liked what i had, but i also wasnt blown away. i think the quality is coming, but some of them were pretty raw, like the fruited saison and the hoppy wit, but they are clearly capable, and seem to be figuring it, i cant be too critical, and i love the wide ranging menu, so they cant all be amazing. the service was hit or miss, i went twice this week, the first time amazing service but the place was empty, the second time almost offensively bad, but she was busy, so ill reserve harsher judgement for later, but it seems like they could have had more than one bartender for happy hour on a friday evening. the food was fire too, had a couple of the different tacos and was stoked, especially on the smoked chicken, and it came up quick and hot and fresh too, add in fair prices and you have a place i would be at all the time if i lived here. great vibe, clearly poised to go big, and i cant wait to try the wood aged stuff. they need to do a collaboration with their coffee roasting neighbor too. one of the best breweries in billings already overall!
